The Great Big Wine Tour
An exciting start to the day is a quad bike ride and vineyard walk on an estate in the Stellenbosch hills where you have the most breathtaking views of the valley and majestic Simonsberg Mountains.
An insight into South African traditional winemaking in the cellar before your wine guide takes you through a crash course in snobbery and the correct etiquette of wine tasting prepares you for blending and bottling your very own wine to take home. Be sure to get creative with naming your wine with a personalized label, your ultimate wine souvenir.
A delicious inclusive lunch awaits you at Beyerskloof, home of Pinotage, South Africa’s very own cultivar, and once again unspoilt views over the Simonsberg Mountains.
Historic Muratie established in 1689 is where we are headed to next, where every corner and cobweb tells a story of inspiration to its award winning wines, and if that’s not enough we do our tasting under a giant 400 year old oak which was planted by a soldier as a symbol of love to his slave mistress imprisoned in the castle of Good Hope.
As we head into the Paarl wine region, at the foot of a massive granite formation is Fairview, famous for its wines, cheeses and goat tower, here we indulge in a cheese and wine pairing before making our way to Spice Route. Craft beer and Gin tastings, artisan chocolates and biltong, glass blowing studio, crafts and art galleries are yours to explore here while taking in the views of Table Mountain from afar and reflecting on the perfect day you have just had before we head back to Cape Town.
